Quantum Catch is a social enterprise focusing on the design, manufacture, and sale of affordable, high-quality medical devices to make detection and screening of diseases, as well as measurement of the progression of chronic diseases, easy and convenient.
Our first two products are an affordable retinal imaging system and a non-invasive way to monitor glucose for people with diabetes.

We are developing a non-invasive method for accurately monitoring blood glucose levels by measuring the interaction between light and the glucose contained in the aqueous humor of the eye. The device will look like a small monocular that the patient looks into for less than 10 seconds to get a digital readout of the glucose level. We anticipate a price well below the cost of one year’s worth of test strips used in existing blood glucose monitors.
Several groups have tried to design non-invasive blood glucose monitors by measuring changes in the properties of certain tissues and fluids in the eye in response to changing blood glucose levels, but have been unsuccessful. We believe that Quantum Catch’s core competency in measuring subtle properties of the eye provides us with a special advantage for achieving this goal.
